Within the room, the African Mahogany top, with it's alternate grain growth directions and varnishing, glows in the low light environment. My first Client's desk finished. Built for an aviation student that needed a storage solution for his extensive simulator equipment, the design draws from their love for aviation. The use of plywood, raw and painted, is from the extensive usage of the material in the industry as an alternative to aluminum, with the green color coming from the green primer paint used in the manufacturing process.
